For my first proper blog post I thought I would kick off by showing 5 of my fully painted Eldar guardians (above). As you can see, I'm not using any of the traditional Craftworld colours but the colours are of my personally created Craftworld, Khaila-Necra (meaning 'Bloody Death') Their background is still obscure, but their colour sheme is definite the main colours being black and white with red details. To paint the guardians, I started off with undercoating the whole model in skull white spray, I then filled in any missed patches with normal skull white paint. The next coat was a liberal wash of Badab black, concentrating on the recesses of the armour. I then reapplied the skull white as a highlight. After all the armour was done, I would then pick out any details using the appropriate colour. You may notice that on all of their helmets (apart from the black one) i have added a simple freehand design. I did this simply to give each model more character, making them stand out on the battlefield. Please leave a comment if you think the picture is to dark, I wasn't sure if it was light enough. So thanks for reading, till next time!

I started collecting 40k a couple of years back now, and the army that appealed to me most were the enigmatic Eldar. I'm still not quite sure why I was drawn to them, but it was probably the wonderful miniatures. Anyway, since then I have managed to collect a rather large force (roughly 2500 points) comprising of many different models and units. But there was only one thing I was behind on, and that was the painting! so I've created this blog to hopefully motivate myself to do more painting, and even motivate others to do the same. So from now onwards I will be posting pictures of my miniatures, and updating you on what ever new stuff I get. Enjoy!
